Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to coordinate instructional programs for students with disabilities. Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of general content curriculum standards and age appropriate developmental expectations.
• Considerable knowledge of state and federal policies regarding services for students with disabilities.
• Ability to protect confidentiality in accordance with FERPA.

Responsibilities

• Develops IEPs for students with disabilities and implements them.
• Monitors student behavior and maintains discipline in the classroom.
• Evaluates student work and adjusts instruction as necessary.
