Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking an emissions compliance specialist to perform testing, analysis, documentation, and reporting for equipment in accordance with applicable regulations and permits. You will evaluate performance, troubleshoot, model, and tune assets to sustain compliant operation, partnering with Field Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and vendors.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with high‑pressure gas systems, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Requires a two-year degree in Applied Science or engineering‑related field or equivalent experience.
• Two or more years of relevant work experience may substitute for a degree.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook) is expected.
• Experience with high‑pressure gas and processing equipment is required.
• Strong ability to analyze engine/compressor/pump performance and diagnose emissions issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform emissions compliance testing, analysis, documentation, and reporting for Tallgrass equipment.
• Evaluate equipment performance; troubleshoot, model, and tune systems to maintain compliant operation.
• Collaborate with Field Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and vendors to achieve compliance.
• Prepare technical documentation and drive root-cause analysis for performance issues.
• Ensure all work complies with state and federal regulations and air permits.
