Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking an engineer to perform routine mechanical analyses on natural gas, crude oil, and CO2 systems, including vibration and exhaust reporting. The role involves technical support, environmental reporting, and oversight of third parties as needed.

Applicants should have a two-year degree in engineering or equivalent experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to travel for startup and commissioning tasks. Expect non-standard hours and safe operation compliance.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Applied Science or Engineering-related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Good math, communication, and interpersonal skills; customer-focused teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Routine motor, engine, turbine, pump and compressor performance analysis and reporting.
• Vibration testing and data analysis; participate in vibration mitigation program.
• Engine and compressor modeling to ensure performance and control accuracy.
• Ultrasonic leak detection and quantification; monitor mechanical reliability.
• Provide root-cause analysis and technical reporting; occasional emissions testing.
• Travel as required and support startup/commissioning of new equipment.
