Job summary

UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL seeks an EMG Technical Specialist to perform nerve conduction studies in the laboratory under physician supervision. The technologist should hold an active RNCST or CNCT credential or obtain it within 12 months.

Responsibilities include NCS performance in ICU or hospital units, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety and infection control policies. Prior END training and 3–5 years in NCS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• CAAHEP-accredited END training desirable.
• Active RNCST or CNCT required or credentialed within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform NCS studies under supervision.
• Operates and maintains EMG equipment.
• Ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
• Assist in interpretation and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support training for staff and residents.
