Job summary

UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL seeks an EEG Technical Specialist to perform neurodiagnostic procedures under supervision and train toward advanced modalities. The role supports a Level 1 trauma center and NAEC epilepsy designation in a renowned health system.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2–4 years of college, and at least one END modality registry (REEGT/REPT/RNCST/RPSGT); CLTM/CNIM desirable, with leadership ability and commitment to ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School graduate.
• 2 to 4 years' college preferred but not required.
• CAHEEP approved ENT training program highly desirable; OJT considered as substitute.
• At least one END modality registry: REEGT, REPT, RNCST, or RPSGT.
• CLTM and/or CNIM desirable.
• Ability to work independently and assume leadership when required.
• Within 18 months, obtain C-LTM monitoring to maintain EMU work.

Responsibilities

• Perform neurodiagnostic procedures under supervision of directors and physicians.
• Advance to more complex procedures as competencies develop (Neonatal EEG, EP, ICU-LTM, GRIDS, WADA, NCV, EMG).
• Train to become a Technologist across Neurodiagnostic procedures.
