Job summary

The University of Texas Dell Medical School in Austin is seeking an Electromyographic (EMG) Technician to perform EMG tests and nerve conduction studies to aid in diagnosing neuromuscular disorders. You will support clinicians and help ensure accurate, efficient patient care.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, electrode placement, data recording, equipment maintenance, and documentation. Requires a high school diploma, 1 year EMG experience, CNCT or RNCS.T, and BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of EMG or neurodiagnostic testing experience.
• CNCT or RNCS.T certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct EMG tests and nerve conduction studies as directed by physicians.
• Prepare patients and apply electrodes to muscles; record electrical activity.
• Calibrate, set up, and maintain EMG/NCS equipment; troubleshoot issues.
