WSP's Mount Laurel, New Jersey office is seeking an Early Career Transmission Line Engineer to contribute to design and analysis of overhead lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions, using PLS-CADD and field data.

This hybrid role requires a civil engineering degree, up to 1 year of experience, strong English communication, and a willingness to travel to project sites as needed; relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 0–1 year of post-education experience.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Strong English communication, written and oral.
• Knowledge of design/build processes.
• Familiarity with civil construction laws and regulations.
• Interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Detail-oriented, self-led, multi-tasking in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Proficient with office software and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Must adhere to Code of Conduct.
• No relocation or housing assistance.

Aufgaben

• Execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Support the initial project execution layout to ensure an efficient and effective project plan.
• Maintaining a project budget and schedule.
• Facilitate and adhere to WSP’s QA/QC procedures.
• Develop transmission line design expertise: PLS-CADD, structure staking, foundations, assembly drawings, structure loading, procurement, and construction support.
• Travel to field, as needed.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds and conduct, adhering to WSP’s policies.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
