Great American Insurance Company is seeking an Emerging Technology Intern for Summer 2027 within the P&C IT Services group. The role blends in-office collaboration with remote work, focusing on research, data prep, and prototype development to support product strategy and innovation.

You will work with product managers, engineers, and designers to contribute to planning and reviews while building proof-of-concept solutions using Python, Java, or low-code tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in CS, IS, DS, or related field.
• Ability to work in the office at least three days a week.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization (SQL, Tableau).
• Exposure to AI, IoT, GenAI.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Research cutting-edge technologies and summarize findings to support product strategy.
• Collect, clean, and preprocess datasets for ML models and analytics dashboards.
• Create clear documentation for experiments, prototypes, and findings.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers in planning and reviews.
