Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is seeking an Emerging Technology Intern for Summer 2027 in Cincinnati, OH. This hybrid, part-time internship offers exposure to AI, IoT, GenAI, and cloud/API projects within the P&C IT Services unit.

You will research new tech, collect and preprocess data, document findings, and collaborate across product, engineering, and design teams to develop proofs-of-concept using Python, JavaScript, or low-code tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in a related field with 2029 or 2030 graduation preferred.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools is expected.
• Familiarity with cloud services and APIs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research and Analysis: investigate cutting-edge technologies (AI, blockchain, quantum computing) and summarize findings.
• Data Collection and Cleaning: gather, organize, and preprocess datasets for ML models or analytics dashboards.
• Documentation and Reporting: create clear documentation for experiments and prototypes.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: work with product managers, engineers, and designers in brainstorming and sprint reviews.
• Prototype Development: assist in building proof-of-concept prototypes using Python, JavaScript, or low-code platforms.

The Emerging Technology Team is seeking an Intern for summer 2027. **Responsibilities:*** Research and Analysis: Investigate cutting-edge technologies such as AI, blockchain, or quantum computing, and summarize findings to support product strategy or innovation initiatives.* Data Collection and Cleaning Support data-driven projects by gathering, organizing, and preprocessing datasets for use in machine learning models or analytics dashboards.* Documentation and Reporting Create clear documentation for experiments, prototypes, and research findings to ensure knowledge transfer and team alignment.* Cross-functional Collaboration Work with product managers, engineers, and designers to contribute to brainstorming sessions, sprint planning, and team reviews.* Could include: Prototype Development Assist in building proof-of-concept prototypes using tools like Python, JavaScript, or low-code platforms to explore new tech applications.**Requirements:**Ability to work in the office at minimum three days a week.
