Job summary

Spektrum seeks an Emerging Technology Analyst to identify and assess new EDTs, coordinate across ACT S&T structures, and drive adoption opportunities in NATO capability development. The role requires strong research abilities and English proficiency.

Based in Norfolk, VA, the position is on-site with a multi-year contract, requiring security clearance eligibility and active engagement with EDT programs and innovation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in the acquisition, assembly and interpretation of research & technology information.
• Knowledge of S&T information sources in nations, e.g. defence labs, academia, ministries.
• Experience interpreting future S&T and EDT-related information for military applications.
• Practical experience with PC office automation products and internet research.
• Ability to conduct analytical work on EDT documentation, identify adoption pathways.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to identification and cataloguing of emerging and disruptive technologies (EDTs).
• Assess EDT implications and adoption opportunities in support of the Warfare Development Agenda.
• Promote increased experimentation of EDT-based solutions in realistic environments.
• Provide input to programming of EDT activities within ACT S&T POW in support of foresight and capability development.
• Influence EDT adoption to address identified capability shortfalls.
• Educate HQ staff on opportunities and risks of EDTs.
• Organize and manage a knowledge base on EDT adoption for ACT, NATO and stakeholders.
• Execute tasks within the Innovation Branch under the section head, related to EDT projects.
