Job summary

The City of Southfield seeks a Library Technology Specialist to administer the Library's website and Intranet, and to create and maintain content for events and programs. You will manage digital programs, catalog media, and provide AV support.

You will assist patrons with printing, reference services, and technology help; knowledge of online resources and web scripting is desired. This is a full-time on-site role in Southfield, MI.

Qualifications

• MLS or substantial completion of MLS from an ALA-accredited program.
• Experience with library resources and online information resources.
• Knowledge of video recording and streaming devices and related software.
• Ability to manage library websites and intranets, including content posting and archiving.
• Web scripting knowledge desirable for site management.

Responsibilities

• Administer the Library's website and Intranet (design, implementation, updating).
• Create and maintain content for the Library website, events, videos and programming.
• Maintain digital programs and classes; manage links to library resources.
• Manage video technology programs and catalogue video/audio content.
