Job summary

DK Law is seeking a Junior Demand Writer for our Costa Mesa HQ. You will transform case files, records, and supporting documentation into persuasive narratives that clearly communicate injuries, treatment, damages, and client experience.

This in-office role supports attorneys and the Demands Team as cases move toward settlement. The ideal candidate has 1–2+ years of relevant writing or legal support experience, excellent writing and proofreading skills, and a detail-oriented mindset, with

Qualifications

• Exceptional writing, editing, grammar, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to organize complex information and develop persuasive narratives.
• Prior experience in personal injury or legal support is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Draft clear, persuasive demand packages for submission to insurance carriers.
• Review case files, medical records, bills, and documents to present damages.
• Collaborate with attorneys and the Demands Team to support settlement efforts.
• Assist attorneys with reviewing and evaluating settlement offers.
• Prepare written counter-demands and communicate them to insurers and adjusters.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and families about injuries and case progress.
• Monitor deadlines and prioritize files with approaching statutes of limitations.
• Document communications, offers, and updates in the CRM.
