Coborn's, Inc. is a fast-growing, employee-owned grocery retailer. The Director in Training program offers hands-on experience in total store operations, learning from a Store Director and building skills to drive sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction.

You’ll develop leadership capabilities and an ownership mindset while preparing to lead a Coborn's store. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of related experience, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 3–5 years of related experience.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Passion for developing people, serving guests, and achieving business results.
• Ability to set clear expectations, lead by example, and hold yourself and others accountable.
• Adaptability, sound judgment, and willingness to learn every area of store operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead total store performance toward sales, profit, expense, labor, and guest service goals.
• Develop strong teams through coaching, setting clear expectations, and ongoing feedback.
• Deliver operational excellence in merchandising, ordering, inventory, receiving, pricing, and safety.
• Create a remarkable guest experience through personalized service and organized, inviting stores.
• Drive merchandising and promotions to support sales and gross profit goals.
• Build leadership capability via hiring, scheduling, retention, communication, training, and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and local, state, and federal requirements.
• Stay connected to the work by regularly walking the store and identifying improvement opportunities.
