Job summary

Innovative Home Renovations (IHR) is seeking an Associate Interior Designer at the start of their career to support client understanding, design development, and documentation in a collaborative design‑build environment in NE Seattle.

You will learn how residential remodeling moves from initial ideas through planning, construction, and completion, guided by mentors while developing your craft, portfolio, and professional judgment.

Qualifications

• Foundation in Interior Design or related field with portfolio
• Knowledge of design processes from concept to documentation
• Willingness to learn and grow in a design‑build environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Interest in Chief Architect and other professional tools
• Team collaboration and client‑facing support

Responsibilities

• Support client understanding and design development with senior guidance
• Create space plans, visual presentations, renderings, finish plans, and schedules
• Maintain organized project records and design information
• Coordinate with drafters and design team to implement feedback
• Prepare materials for client meetings and communicate decisions clearly
• Learn drawings, selections, and design decisions impact planning and construction
