Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to oversee estimating, scheduling, procurement, and management of electrical distribution and transmission projects under master service agreements and site-specific contracts.

You will establish baseline schedules, monitor progress and cost, maintain client relationships, and ensure field operations have the information needed to perform work cost-effectively and on time.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in engineering or construction management
• 2+ years of project management experience in construction, preferably utility
• Basic knowledge of project accounting practices and financial systems
• Strong written communications for technical documents and invoices
• Strong oral communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and build relationships
• Understanding of different contract pricing mechanisms

Responsibilities

• Manage projects per Pike Policies and Procedures
• Maintain effective client relationships and trusted status
• Oversee subcontractors and material procurement
• Apply change control and risk management processes
• Develop thorough estimates prior to construction
• Provide performance feedback to operations and field management
• Prepare contract reporting and status updates for field operations, management, and client
• Ensure profitability through financial controls
• Support emergency and storm restoration events
