Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking Contracting Managers to lead estimating, proposal development and procurement for master service agreements and site-specific projects in distribution, transmission, and substation construction. This role supports field operations with critical contractual information to perform work safely, cost-effectively and on time.

The position requires a 4-year degree and at least 2 years of contract management experience in construction, preferably utilities, with strong

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree preferably in engineering or business management.
  • Minimum of 2 years of project and/or contract management experience in the construction industry (preferably utility construction).
  • Strong mathematical, communication and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of project management fundamentals.
  • Experience with MS Office applications; MS Project/Primavera is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide thorough estimates and proposals for site-specific projects and master service agreements.
  • Review project plans and specifications; coordinate with the project team to confirm scope.
  • Participate in customer pre-bid meetings (in-person or virtual).
  • Identify risk issues and their order of magnitude; solicit subcontractor and supplier pricing.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, design team, suppliers and user groups; ensure contract compliance and performance.
