Job summary

University of Texas Dell Medical School is seeking an Associate Project Manager for the Enterprise Project Management Office in Austin, TX. You will own full project lifecycles and support senior PMs across Workforce, Facilities, Research, Education, and Technology.

You will collaborate with project managers and executives, develop plans, monitor progress, manage risks, and contribute to governance and reporting. A healthcare/academic background and PM tools experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1–3 years in project coordination or management.
• Experience in healthcare, academic, or enterprise settings preferred.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or Asana.

Responsibilities

• Manages full lifecycle of assigned projects with defined scope, goals, and success metrics.
• Engages stakeholders across administrative, operational, and clinical areas; communicates status to sponsors and teams.
• Maintains project charters, status reports, risk logs; contributes to executive summaries and dashboards.
• Supports cross-functional and strategic initiatives; assists with change management and stakeholder adoption.
• Tracks budgets and expenditures; coordinates with finance and procurement; assists with vendor coordination.
