Job summary

The University of Texas is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional technology projects across clinical, operational, and administrative initiatives within the healthcare system.

You will manage the full lifecycle—from initiation through implementation—aligning with enterprise goals, regulatory requirements, and patient care priorities, while collaborating with IT architects, informatics, cybersecurity and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field with at least 5 years of experience managing technical projects in healthcare or enterprise IT.
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Health Informatics, PM or related field with 7+ years in healthcare IT project management.
PMI-PMP certification is required; CS M or SAFe Agilist is a plus; ITIL and Lean Six Sigma are beneficial.

Responsibilities

Leads full technical project lifecycle management from initiation through implementation.
Defines scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics; develops detailed plans and manages resources.
Coordinates with IT, clinical informatics, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders; tracks risks and issues; ensures on-time, on-budget delivery.
