Job summary

Commonpoint is seeking an Emerging Leaders SYEP/WLG Coordinator within the Youth Employment Department to support the Emerging Leaders component of the Summer Youth Employment Program. You will focus on participant case management, engagement, retention, intervention, and successful program completion.

Working closely with program leadership, you will monitor progress, coordinate interventions, and support worksite coordination, documentation, and DYCD compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, education, psychology, counseling, youth development, public administration, or a related field preferred; relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience with adolescents or young adults in workforce development, youth employment, case management, education, community-based, or social-service settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Emerging Leaders participants from enrollment through completion and post-program follow-up.
• Conduct regular check-ins to monitor attendance, engagement, and progress.
• Identify participants at risk and implement timely, individualized interventions.
• Address barriers to participation and employment, including scheduling and documentation.
• Maintain consistent participant communication and follow-up on activities and deadlines.
• Coordinate with worksite supervisors and staff to resolve concerns and support retention.
• Document contacts, interventions, referrals, outcomes, and follow-up promptly.
