Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or other degree relevant to environmental consulting.
• 0 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiaries.
• Basic knowledge of environmental principles and applications.
• Basic knowledge of environmental permitting processes, regulations, and test methods.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and develop professionally.
• Basic decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying site conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry field equipment (~40 lbs).
• Must have the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and follow all local and state laws, road/driving regulations, and Company policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) under supervision.
• Conducts site reconnaissance, file reviews, and report preparation with senior staff.
• Develops technical writing skills and contributes to reports.
• Interacts and collaborates with staff members on a variety of environmental projects.
• Attends project meetings with senior staff and participates in project discussions.
• Interfaces with contractors, clients, and site personnel during field activities.
• Communicates daily with project teams and keeps supervisors informed of site conditions and project needs.
• Implements field tasks and project activities as directed by senior staff.
• Assists with scheduling, training, and oversight of environmental technicians.
• Supports project setup and implementation under supervision.
• Collects, documents, and reports field observations accurately.
• Assists with environmental sampling, data collection, and analysis.
• Supports preparation of reports, calculations, and project documentation.
• Participates in project coordination, including tracking tasks and deliverables.
• Assists with proposal preparation and project planning activities.
• Performs additional technical and project support duties as assigned.
