Job summary

ECS Group of Companies, a leader in geotechnical, construction materials, environmental and building science services, seeks an Environmental Assistant Staff Project Manager in Hanover, MD. The role supports fieldwork, data collection, analysis, and project coordination under supervision to build foundational environmental consulting experience.

Responsibilities include Phase I ESAs, site reconnaissance, report preparation, and collaboration with senior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a relevant engineering or science field.
• Zero years of related experience required.
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiaries.
• Good understanding of environmental principles and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs Phase I Environmental Site Assessments under supervision.
• Conducts site reconnaissance, file reviews, and report preparation with senior staff.
• Develops technical writing skills and contributes to reports.
• Interacts with staff on environmental projects and attends project meetings.
• Interfaces with contractors, clients, and site personnel during field activities.
• Implements field tasks and project activities as directed by senior staff.
• Assists with scheduling, training, and oversight of environmental technicians.
• Supports project setup, data collection and analysis, and reporting.
