Job summary

MetroPower in Daphne, AL seeks an Associate Project Manager to support all phases of electrical construction under a senior Project Manager. You will gain hands-on field experience in scheduling, estimating, procurement, and customer relations while driving quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management/Sciences, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Building Science, etc.), or related.
• Prior experience in contracting, engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with the electrical trade.

Responsibilities

• Planning & Monitoring: help establish what is to be done on a week-to-week basis, when, and by whom; analyze and forecast factors that affect results to maximize efficiency; develop appropriate programs, strategies, and supervision; learn the scheduling process and take responsibility for it on assigned projects; be trained to use estimating information to manage labor and material costs effectively.
• Billing & Procurement Management: learn the procurement process and be responsible for ordering materials on assigned projects; gain understanding of the collection and billing process; manage billings.
• Project Execution & Operations: understand and assist in bidding jobs (estimates, proposal specs, drawings, takeoff information); manage projects to deliver on customer requirements of scope, timeline, and budget; assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
• Customer Satisfaction & Professional Development: work with Project Managers to learn how develop and maintain relationships with customers; ensure high quality service is provided to guarantee sales; take prompt action to resolve any customer complaints; always be growing and improving.
• Safety/Hazard Recognition & Elimination: pre-plan and identify methods to eliminate hazards; promote open communication between field and office; uphold safety as a primary goal; obtain safety training.
