Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Columbus, OH is seeking an Assistant Electrical Engineer to support project teams across power, process, healthcare, airports, and industrial facilities from concept to construction. You will adapt electrical plans to budget and client needs, while learning from senior engineers.

You will assist in electrical design, CAD work, field checks, and project coordination, using AutoCAD and BIM tools, with strong emphasis on teamwork and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Internship or related consulting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in electrical design from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Assist with modifying and reviewing production drawings for diverse facilities.
• Assist in client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration for various facilities.
• Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations for clients.
