Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to partner with the project manager from bid through client acceptance. You will lead, coach, and mentor project team members, manage cost control and financial documentation, and coordinate with Preconstruction and trades to ensure successful project delivery.

You will draft client proposals, administer contracts, and provide direction for safe, timely completion. Travel up to 100% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Intermediate MS Office and project/web tools knowledge.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Perform cost control and financial management for projects.
• Coordinate scopes of work with Preconstruction and project teams.
• Draft client proposals and manage contracts and subcontracts.
• Provide direction to project team for safe, timely completion and career development.
• Lead meetings with subcontractors and trade partners to coordinate on-site activities.
• Support on small scope projects as needed and implement quality plans.
