Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) seeks a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to work on the front lines of emergency care. You’ll handle a wide range of cases, assist doctors, and provide compassionate support to pets and their families during stressful moments.

Ideal candidates have AVMA-accredited education, state credentialing, and at least 1 year of experience in emergency or specialty veterinary medicine, with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred in veterinary tech.
• Credentialed veterinary technician in the state of practice required.
• 1+ year experience in veterinary technician role; emergency experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage and nursing care for emergency cases.
• Provide treatments, diagnostics, and monitoring.
• Assist with anesthesia and critical care support.
• Support doctors and team; communicate effectively under pressure.
