BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our busy Critical Care department. Pay ranges from $21.00 to $42.00 per hour, depending on experience and competency level.

Tentative schedule includes overnights and weekends; you will work with skilled veterinary professionals to expand your abilities. As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will induce, monitor and recover anesthesia, triage emergencies, perform radiographs, monitor vitals, and assist

Qualifications

• Experience in Emergency and Critical Care veterinary settings.
• Ability to induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Proficient at monitoring vitals and triaging emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients.
• Triage emergency cases and obtain vitals (temp, HR, RR, BP).
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and positioning.
• Interpret vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Identify patients at risk and initiate CPR.
• Perform phlebotomy and place IV catheters.
• Place feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Mentor and train co-workers.
• Provide compassionate client communication.
