BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced RELIEF Veterinary Technicians for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $40.50 per hour, starting point based on experience and competency leveling.

VTS credentialing may increase compensation accordingly. As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia, triage cases, and perform radiography while monitoring vitals and supporting the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency/critical care veterinary nursing.
• VTS credentialing considered for compensation commensurate with experience.
• Ability to induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia; familiarity with monitoring equipment.
• Proficiency in radiography and interpreting vitals in patients.

Responsabilités

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases and record vitals (temp, HR, RR, BP).
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Understand normal ranges for vital signs and act on changes.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vitals and alert Veterinarian.
• Identify at-risk patients and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical dosages and administer meds appropriately.
• Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement in peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central lines.
• Mentor and train co-workers; address client concerns with empathy.
