Job summary

VEG ER for Pets is seeking a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You will work alongside doctors to manage emergencies, from triage to critical care, including anesthesia and intensive monitoring.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care and support for families during stressful moments. Ideal candidates have veterinary tech credentials, 1+ year of experience, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced Vet Tech degree preferred
• CVT/RVT/LV/ LVMT credentials in the state of practice required; VTS in ECC/med or anesthesia is a plus
• 1+ year in veterinary tech role; emergency or specialty experience preferred
• Strong communication and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced ER

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring and critical care nursing in emergencies
• Provide nursing care, administer meds, and support pet parents
• Perform CPR, diagnostics, imaging, sample collection and tubes placement
• Collaborate with doctors and team to keep care flowing and plans updated
• Contribute to open-concept ER workflows and maintain patient comfort
• Maintain high standards of safety, sanitation and patient handling
