Job summary

VEG seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician in Overland Park, KS to join our front-line emergency team. You’ll participate in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, collaborating with doctors and supporting pet parents through stressful moments.

You must have an AVMA-accredited program, CVT/RVT/LV(T) credentials, and 1+ year of emergency or specialty experience.

Qualifications

• Requires CVT/RVT/LV(T) credential in the state of practice
• 1+ year of experience in veterinary technician role with emergency or specialty medicine preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 25 kg and work in a noisy environment with odors

Responsibilities

• Triage and provide nursing care from admission to discharge
• Assist in treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care
• Deliver IVs, CRIs, blood product support, and other treatments as needed
• Communicate effectively with team and support pet parents during emergencies
• Perform advanced techniques and assist with imaging, sample collection, and line placements
