VEG for Pets in Port Saint Lucie, FL is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You will work with doctors to deliver gold-standard, compassionate care in high-stakes emergencies.

Responsibilities include triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, all while supporting pet parents through stressful moments. A focus on learning and growth is encouraged within a fast-paced hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state of practice is required.
• 1+ years in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR knowledge.
• Excellent communicator and calm under pressure.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Treat every patient and person like they matter and stay by their side through tests and treatments.
• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Administer meds, monitoring, from IVs to transfusions and beyond.
• Collaborate and communicate with team to keep care flowing.
• Be ready to perform CPR and support RECOVER training.
• Assist with diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tubes.
• Assist anesthesia for fragile patients as needed.
• Utilize advanced techniques in your toolkit.
