Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is hiring a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician in Washington. You will join a fast-paced team delivering urgent care across a range of emergencies, from triage to critical care, while supporting doctors and pet parents.

Ideal candidates have AVMA-accredited education and current state credentialing; 1+ year in veterinary tech, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited associate degree preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician in the practice state (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT).
• 1+ year experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 25 kg.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, triage, treatments, and monitoring for emergency cases.
• Assist with anesthesia, diagnostics, and critical care nursing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to deliver compassionate care.
• Support pet parents and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in CPR and emergency procedures as needed.
• Handle IVs, blood products, and essential monitoring.
• Maintain equipment and ensure a safe, clean work environment.
