Job summary

The Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Florida is seeking a Nursing Trainer to lead development and mentorship across emergency medicine teams. You will tailor training, mentor staff on the floor, and drive educational initiatives hospital-wide.

You’ll collaborate with leadership to identify needs, assess technicians, and expand VEG’s Cultivate program, while delivering engaging training materials and ensuring care standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Identify training needs with leadership and teams.
• Assess assistants and technicians through observation.
• Drive advancement through VEG’s Cultivate program.
• Implement VEG training programs as the go-to training lead at the hospital.
• Split time between on-floor mentoring and strategic development.
• Provide tailored training for all learning styles and skill levels.
• Organize peer training opportunities and mentor culture.
• Collaborate with nursing managers to broaden impact.
• Develop and refine training content (presentations, videos, simulations, assessments).
• Ensure training aligns with VEG’s culture, mission, and care standards.
• Continually evaluate leveling programs for assistants and technicians.
