Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to provide top-tier emergency care across our 24/7/365 hospitals. You will handle emergencies, including exotics, with a focus on mentorship and continuous learning.

Join a team centered on on-floor guidance, VEG Education programs, and unlimited ER CE. Credentialed VEGgies may receive a $2,500/year travel stipend and uncredentialed VEGgies a $1,000/year travel stipend, plus competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree and passion for emergency medicine.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Thrive in fast-paced, team-focused ER environments.
• Comfort with exotics and varied emergency cases.

Responsibilities

• Handle emergency cases and on-floor leadership.
• Perform physical exams, diagnostics, and develop treatment plans.
• Communicate diagnoses and options to clients.
• Prepare estimates and manage medical records.
• Perform emergency surgeries and endoscopic procedures.
• Educate clients on aftercare and preventative measures.
