VEG is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to handle a wide range of urgent cases, including surgeries and exotics, in a fast-paced ER environment. You’ll be guided by mentorship and continuous learning programs, with a focus on expert patient care and client communication.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree is required.
• Live and breathe emergency medicine including surgeries and endoscopy.
• Able to stand for prolonged hours and lift up to 25 kg.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong communication and teamwork across a fast-paced ER.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone.
• See patients immediately as part of VEG triage processes.
• Gather signalment, presenting complaint, vitals, and exam.
• Perform physical exams, ultrasounds, X-rays, bloodwork, biopsies.
• Create diagnostic and therapeutic plans.
• Explain diagnosis and treatment options to clients.
• Prepare estimates and present to clients.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Explain the value of tests and treatments to clients.
• Perform minor and major emergency surgeries.
• Perform endoscopic procedures.
• Educate clients on aftercare and prevention.
