Job summary

VEG ER for Pets is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join a 24/7 ER team devoted to helping pets and their families. You will handle emergencies, perform surgeries, and work with a supportive group focused on ongoing learning and clinical excellence.

You will participate in VEG Triage, communicate clearly with clients, and contribute to a culture of mentorship, growth, and compassionate care for all animals—big and small, including exotics.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• Proficient in emergency medicine, including emergency surgery and endoscopy.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg.
• Comfortable in a noisy environment with strong odors.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone.
• See patients immediately as part of VEG Triage and VEG Spikes.
• Gather signalment, presenting complaint, vitals, and exam.
• Perform physical exams and required diagnostics.
• Create diagnostic and therapeutic plans.
• Communicate diagnoses and options to clients.
