Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to deliver high‑stakes care for critically ill pets in a fast‑paced ER setting. You will lead diagnostic workups, perform emergency surgeries, and collaborate with a skilled team in a mission‑driven culture.

You will mentor teammates, engage families, and grow your expertise through VEG Education programs and CE opportunities. A DVM or equivalent is required, with availability for nights and holidays.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 25 kg.
• Experience in veterinary emergency medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions and triage over the phone.
• See patients on arrival and manage emergency cases.
• Perform urgent diagnostics: ultrasound, X-ray, bloodwork, biopsies.
• Prepare treatment plans and discuss options with clients.
• Perform emergency surgeries and endoscopic procedures as needed.
• Educate clients on aftercare and preventative measures.
