Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our 24/7 ER network. You’ll handle a wide range of cases, from routine to complex surgeries, including exotics, with a culture built on mentorship and continuous learning through VEG Education programs and unlimited ER CE.

Qualifications

• Emergency medicine experience and ability to perform emergency procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone.
• See patients on arrival and triage using VEG Spikes approach.
• Gather signalment, presenting complaint, vitals and exam.
• Perform physical exams, ultrasounds, X-rays, labs, and biopsies as needed.
• Create and review diagnostic and therapeutic plans.
• Communicate diagnosis and options to clients.
• Prepare estimates and present them to customers.
• Educate clients on aftercare and preventive measures.
• Assist in minor and major emergency surgeries.
