Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group is hiring an Emergency Veterinarian to provide high-quality emergency care, including surgeries and endoscopy, with a focus on mentorship and ongoing education. You’ll lead in a fast-paced hospital setting and collaborate closely with the VEG team to deliver exceptional care for pets and their families.

The role emphasizes 24/7 availability, flexibility for nights and weekends, and opportunities for growth through VEG Education programs and travel stipends.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required; veterinary emergency medicine experience preferred.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays in rotating schedule.
• Comfort with emergency surgeries and endoscopy; ability to lift up to 25 kg.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced ER setting.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions and triage patients by phone and in person.
• Perform exams, imaging, surgeries, and endoscopy as needed.
• Create diagnostic plans and discuss options with clients.
• Maintain medical records and accurate estimates.
• Educate clients on aftercare and preventative care.
