Job summary

Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists – NASA Parkway in Webster, Texas, is seeking a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine to join our emergency team. This full-time role offers a rotating schedule and a $25,000 sign-on bonus, with resources from a large network to support advanced emergency care.

You’ll work in a state-of-the-art hospital with in-house lab, ultrasound, radiology, CT, and access to more than 12 specialty services, collaborating with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to deliver

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with Texas licensure eligibility.
• Internship-trained or ER experience; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and client-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, specialists, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

You’ll practice in a state-of-the-art, 12,000-square-foot hospital designed for advanced emergency and specialty care while benefiting from the resources and collaborative support of the larger Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists network.

Our Webster hospital offers Emergency, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Radiology, along with advanced diagnostic capabilities including an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and CT. Our team also has direct access to the expertise and collaborative support of more than 12 specialty services available through our flagship GCVS hospital.

In your day-to-day, you will:

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Texas veterinary licensure.
