Job summary

Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists - NASA Parkway in Webster, Texas, is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian for a full-time role at our newly opened Webster hospital. This position offers a $25,000 sign-on bonus and a rotating full-time schedule in a state-of-the-art facility with access to Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists’ network.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree required.
• Internship trained or ER experience preferred.

• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent cases.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care including triage and ongoing hospitalization.

This path lets you stay in your current Ethos network hospital, enjoying your full wages and benefits while practicing at an Ethos hospital and pursuing board certification.

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, specialists, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

What You Bring

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Texas veterinary licensure.
• Internship trained, previous ER experience or an experienced veterinarian who is interested in transitioning into emergency medicine.
• Confidence managing cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
