Job summary

The VEG ER for Pets in Seattle is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You’ll work with doctors across triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, while providing compassionate support to pet parents during stressful moments.

Requirements include an AVMA-accredited vet tech degree, state credentialing, 1+ year emergency experience, and the ability to lift up to 25 kg.

Qualifications

• Must be credentialed as a veterinary technician in the state where the VEG practice is located; VTS in ECC, internal medicine or anesthesia/analgesia is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Treat every patient and person like they matter and stay by their side through tests, treatments, and everything in between.
• Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge in critical moments.
• Manage medications, monitoring, and therapies including IVs, CRIs, transfusions, and beyond.
• Communicate as a teammate and help shape plans to keep care flowing.
• Perform CPR as needed and support other RECOVER CPR initiatives.
