Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in San Jose, CA seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced, front-line ER team. You will handle a range of emergencies, assist doctors, and provide compassionate, efficient care for pets and their families.

You will triage, treat, monitor, and support anesthesia and critical care, leveraging strong communication and calm leadership to keep care flowing and teams aligned in stressful moments.

Qualifications

• Must have CVT/RVT/LVMT credentialing in the state of practice.
• 1+ years in veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for a wide range of emergency cases from triage to discharge.
• Provide nursing care, treatments, monitoring, and emotional support.
• Assist with anesthesia, diagnostics, imaging, and sample collection.
• Lead and communicate with the team to keep care flowing smoothly.
• Perform advanced procedures and utilize central lines, endoscopy, ultrasounds as needed.
• Maintain patient and client-centered care in high-stress moments.
• Support doctors and colleagues to deliver gold-standard care.
