Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Seattle is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency care team, handling cases from minor to complex while working closely with doctors.

You will perform triage, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, delivering gold-standard care with empathy for both pets and their owners, while growing through mentorship and ER learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state VEG practice is located is required; VTS in ECC, internal medicine or anesthesia/analgesia is a plus and will lead to extra compensation considerations.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, triage, treatments, and monitoring for emergency cases.
• Administer medications, IVs, and anesthesia support in collaboration with the doctor and team.
• Communicate effectively with teammates to keep care flowing and plans clear.
• Offer empathetic, calm support to pet parents throughout the care process.
