Job summary

VEG is seeking a Part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You will perform triage, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care alongside doctors and staff, delivering compassionate care to pets and their families during stressful moments.

You must be CVT/RVT/LVT in the state of practice, with AVMA-accredited education preferred. Expect a fast-paced environment with opportunities for learning and mentorship at VEG.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
• AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program strongly preferred.
• 1+ years in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring and critical care nursing.
• Provide nursing care, treatments and emotional support from first triage to discharge.
• Handle meds, monitoring, IVs, CRIs, transfusions and beyond.
• Communicate with the team to shape plans and maintain care flow.
• Perform CPR as needed and supported by RECOVER training and instruction.
