Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Virginia is seeking a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You’ll work alongside doctors and VEGgies to triage, treat, monitor, and provide compassionate care during critical moments for pets and their families.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited Vet Tech program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the practice state.
• 1+ years of experience in veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR familiarity.
• Excellent communicator and calm under pressure; able to support teammates.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support in critical moments from triage to discharge.
• Handle a wide range of emergencies with doctors and team to deliver high-quality care.
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Operate with teamwork and leadership to maintain smooth patient flow.
