Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Texas seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a high‑volume ER team. You will handle triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing while delivering compassionate care to pets and their families.

You will collaborate with doctors, perform essential procedures, and grow clinically through mentorship and ongoing education in a fast-paced, supportive environment. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred.
• CVT/RVT/LVMT credential in state VEG practice is required; VTS in ECC or anesthesia a plus.
• 1+ year experience as a veterinary technician; emergency experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR understanding.
• Excellent communicator and able to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Provide nursing care and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with IVs, monitoring, and advanced therapies as needed.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and team to plan care.
• Perform CPR and handle routine urgent procedures.
• Assist with imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
• Work in a fast-paced ER and maintain patient and family-centered care.
• Utilize advanced techniques and contribute to patient outcomes.
