Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our frontline emergency care team. You will work alongside doctors to triage, treat, monitor, and support both patients and their families in high-stress situations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in veterinary technology strongly preferred.
  • Credential as a Veterinary Technician in the practice state (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT); VTS in ECC a plus.
  • 1+ year veterinary technician experience; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
  • Excellent communicator and calm under pressure; ability to lift up to 25 kg.
  • Stand for long periods; work in a noisy environment with strong odors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
  • Assist doctors with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care.
  • Handle IVs, CRIs, blood products, and advanced procedures as trained.
  • Collaborate with team to ensure smooth care flow and plan adjustments.
  • Maintain compassionate presence for pet parents during stressful moments.
  • Operate imaging, sample collection, and basic endoscopy or related tools.
