Job summary

VEG is hiring a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician in Maple Grove, MN. You will join a fast-paced team on the front lines of emergency veterinary care, handling cases from triage to critical care with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician in the state where VEG practice is located; VTS in ECC, internal medicine or anesthesia/analgesia is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience as a veterinary technician; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR familiarity.
• Excellent communicator and calm under pressure; able to support team.
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 25 kg; assist up to 40 kg with help.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Deliver nursing care and emotional support in emergencies; work with doctors and team.
• Administer IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions and other skilled procedures.
• Perform CPR and use advanced techniques; operate imaging and samples collection.
• Maintain clear communication and contribute to care plans.
