Veterinary Emergency Group The PC is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician (Relief) for New Dorp/Staten Island, NYC. You’ll join our front-line emergency team, triage, treat and monitor cases, collaborating with doctors to deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care for pets and their owners.

Requirements include AVMA-accredited credential, valid state CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT, 1+ year in veterinary tech, strong communication, and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred for associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology.
• Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state of practice is required; VTS in ECC/IM/anesthesia is a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Deliver nursing care and emotional support from first triage to discharge.
• Use advanced techniques and equipment (IVs, CRIs, imaging, endoscopy, ultrasounds).
• Communicate effectively with the team to shape care plans and ensure smooth workflow.
