Job summary

Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician (Relief) position in San Jose, CA with Veterinary Emergency Group offers frontline emergency care across a broad range of cases. You’ll participate in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing alongside experienced doctors and support staff.

Ideal candidates hold an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology degree, state credentials (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT), and 1+ year of tech experience in emergency or specialty

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred.
Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the practicing state required.

Responsibilities

Provide emergency nursing care from triage to discharge.
Assist doctors with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring and critical care nursing.
Handle animals safely, communicate with team and pet guardians, and support high-stress situations.
